This 1997 vintage developed by Delphine Cazals and Laurent Fresnet, the house's wine maker. It is 75% from our Mesnil-sur-Oger plots and 25% from Clos Cazals in Oger, Grand Cru.
Bottling in ealy 1998, ageing on lees for twenty-three years in our vaulted cellars of Oger, disgorging in March 2021. A choice of dosage at 0 grams of sugar per liter to let you discover, without addition, the splendor, the typicity and the evolution of the 1997 vintage.
Critical periods of vine development have been disrupted by rains. Rather good and supple vintage, 1997 produced champagnes with good maturity but marked by a low acidity. Chardonnay stood out during this particular year thanks to a particular attention to winemaking.
